Chrissy Teigen Supports Amanda Bynes: 'I Want to Bring Her Back'

Chrissy Teigen has joined the list of Amanda Bynes supporters.

In an interview with E! Online at Variety's Power of Women event, John Legend's wife said she's concerned about the former child. Despite never meeting Bynes, the 28-year-old model said she is rooting for the actress to overcome her difficult time.

"Amanda and I are the same age so I grew up watching her and really looking up to her," she explained. "And for me, to see this path that's happening and to watch it, is kind of really affecting me in way that I didn't think it would. It's weird to be in a situation where you can't help."

"I obviously don't know her at all but I want to bring her back and I want to make her happy and healthy for some reason and she's not there and we can't do anything to help so it kind of sucks. All we're doing is hurting it. It's weird to be in a situation where you can't help," she added.

Bynes' three-day psychiatric hold at Las Encinas Hospital in Pasadena, California, was extended for another two weeks starting on Monday. This is the second time within the last 14 months that Amanda was put on an involuntary psychiatric hold following her behavior.

Las Encinas the hospital offers "a wide range of behavioral health care treatment options are offered for patients with psychiatric, chemical dependency, or co-occurring disorders."
