Vogue Italia Celebrates 50th Anniversary With Visionary Exhibition Launch

A warehouse-like studio in New York City was turned into a chic oasis of models, photographers and other fashion industry veterans for one night to launch an exhibition celebrating 50 years of Vogue Italia.

Presented by Italy's premium beer Peroni Nastro Azzuro, the unique video exhibition offers a behind-the-scenes look into cultural icons that helped the magazine become a trusted leader for Italian style.

Over 100 guests gathered Tuesday night around a series of projections and big-screen TVs showing iconic images from photographer Miles Aldridge, projects from Italian artist Vanessa Beecroft and other videos featuring singers like Usher- all housed inside Manhattan's Industria Studios to bring to life part of the fashion world most people do not get to see.

"It's a very pleasant interruption to see the world outside the magazine," Abiola said.

The exhibition is also a precursor to Peroni and Vogue Italia's partnership to help nurture the next generation of fashion icons.

For aspiring model Jimmy Pezzino, the exhibit was a hopeful glimpse into his future.

"I wish I've been in Vogue," said Pezzino, who was wearing a killer moto jacket from AllSaints. "Maybe one day."

The Peroni Azzuro Celebrates The Visionary World of Vogue Italia exhibition runs from Oct. 15 to the 22.
