Warner Bros. may have already their “Suicide Squad” cast lineup for the 2016 film.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling and Tom Hardy are in negotiations to take on the lead roles.
For those unfamiliar with DC’s “Suicide Squad”, the comics are about a group of franchise villains who are given the opportunity to perform black ops missions for the United States government in order to lessen their prison sentences.
There have been many members of the “Suicide Squad” through out the years, including Harley Quinn and Deadshot. The Warner Bros. production will have many characters to choose from in for their live-action “Suicide Squad” adaptation.
Warner Bros. recently announced their DC film lineup through 2020, which included a live-action “Wonder Woman” film and two “Justice League” adaptations.
“The demand for high quality video content is growing fast – in the United States and around the world – as new technologies have created new platforms and millions of new connected consumers,” Warner Bros.’ Chairman and CEO Kevin Tsujihara said in a new news release. “The opportunity is huge. And no studio is better positioned to take advantage of it than Warner Bros.”
