The St. Louis Cardinals play the San Francisco Giants in Game 5 of the 2014 NL Championship Series. The game starts at 8:07 p.m. ET. Listen to the live radio broadcast below.
After dropping the series opener, San Francisco went on to win the next three straight games and can now clinch the championship series with a win on Thursday. Giants catcher Buster Posey played a big part in Wednesday's victory, recording two hits and three RBIs to help San Francisco to a 6-4 win.
"I think any time you can put pressure on the defense, you've got the opportunity for good things to happen," Posey said, via ESPN. "We're able to come up with some big two-out RBIs to get back in the game."
San Francisco came back from an early 4-1 deficit in the third inning, capitalizing on plays from Cardinals first baseman Matt Adams.
"The play at home, there's a fast runner at third and I was going in on the ball and threw on the runs," Adams said. "Just should've made the throw, though. The second one, I should've just touched first and checked home."
With their backs against the wall, St. Louis will rely on pitcher Adam Wainwright to help force a sixth game. He's struggled this postseason, though, going 0-1 with an 8.00 ERA in his first two starts.
"Until last year's NLCS, I was undefeated in the postseason, and I just don't want to get a bad rap for not being a good playoff pitcher," Wainwright said. "That's the time I want to shine the most. ... I know I'm capable of doing that."
He'll be opposed by Madison Bumgarner, who gave up zero runs while fanning seven batters in Saturday's 3-0 win.
