The Apple executives were getting the audience excited this afternoon when they revealed the features of the camera in the iPad Air 2.
The new components make it easier than ever to produce photographs and videos with professional quality.
From the outside the camera on the iPad Air 2 looks the same. However, it's much more powerful with an image signal processor made specifically for A8X, 1.12 pixels, a 43 MP panaramic mode and burst mode (also on the front camera).
The camera also allows the user to be more creative with the timelaspe feature. For the presentation, Apple took a timelapse shot of boats in Italy that they claim were on their way to George Clooney's wedding.
The new camera also allowed for slow motion videos to be created at the push of a button.
For video there is a dual microphone, which allows for better voice quality.
Along with the upgraded features on the camera, Apple is releasing two downloadable apps today that make it easy for an ametaur photographer to appear to edit pictures and videos like a professional.
The app Replay allows you to select photos and videos - perhaps from a recent family vacation - and it edits them all together for you instantaneously.
Boudier calls this app "Hollywood-like" because it allows you to add text and change the color while the video is playing. The user can also add lighting behind the text, creating a look similar to a title you would see in the beginning of a movie.
Another great editing app released by Apple today is Cryx. It's a tool comparable to Adobe Photoshop's clone tool. The user simply paints their finger over an object, making it dissapear, while the app replaces it with the background.
