Ian Somerhalder and his girlfriend Nikki Reed just adopted another super cute "baby" together. The 35-year-old star of "The Vampire Diaries" and the "Twilight" actress are now parents to an adorable little kitty.
On Wednesday, Reed shared a photo of her hugging the cat writing that she went to visit an animal shelter and couldn't help but take the furry feline home with her.
"Went to the animal shelter today to give some love to the babies living in cages who don't have homes and ended up adopting this little girl! What should we name her?" Reed wrote on Instagram.
Somerhalder, also clearly excited about the adoption, shared the news with his fans via Twitter.
"iamnikkireed's photo... The newest addition to the family! Holy shit this little GIRL is amazing! PLEASE Adopt Adopt Adopt," he posted on Twitter.
This isn't the first time the lovey-dovey couple has adopted a "baby" together." A few months ago, Somerhalder and Reed welcomed a chestnut brown horse named Eagle into their family.
"Proud new dad... What amazing creatures they are. Wow. His name is Eagle. Thank you @iamnikkireed for snapping this special moment, with our big baby boy," Somerhalder wrote on Instagram.
Things are supposedly getting very serious for the couple. A source previously told US Weekly that they started living together in Somerhalder's Atlanta apartment three weeks after they started dating.
Reportedly, the two also share an apartment in Los Angeles. The source said Reed also likes to visit her beau on set of "The Vampire Diaries" where he is currently filming Season 6. It's been rumored that Reed's visits to the show was upsetting Somerhalder's costar - and ex-girlfriend - Nina Dobrev.
"[Nikki] goes to set every day," the source told US.
Somerhalder and Dobrev split in May 2013 after three years of dating. They met on set of "The Vampire Diaries."
