Apple iPad Air 2 Thinner Than A Pencil (SEE IT)

The new iPad Air launched today is pencil-thin - literally.

It's hard to picture a powerful device that's skinnier than a writing utencil, which inspired an artful presentation video at the Apple reveal today.

The video showed a pencil with the iPad Air 2 hiding behind it. A lazor cut the pencil in half, and the new device was still unable to be seen.

The new iPad Air is only 6.1 millimeters in width. It's also 18 percent skinnier than the last model of the iPad Air.

The Apple executive showing off the iPad Air 2 jokingly held the device on its side after the video asking the audience "can you even see it?"

Although the iPad Air 2 is super-thin, the company reassured consumers on Twtter before the event that Apple CEO Tim Cook is not worried about the tablet bending like the iPhone 6.
