Apple's online store is down once again, apparently so the tech giant can prepare for pre-orders for the recently unveiled iPad Air 2.
Products became unavailable at the Apple Store around 4:30 a.m. PT on Friday, according to CNET. The Cupertino, Calif.-based company posted a message in several languages, telling fans that the site won't be down for long.
"We'll be back," the message reads. "We're busy updating the Apple Store for you and will be back soon."
The iPad Air 2, introduced at Apple's October launch event on Thursday, features a 9.7-inch Retina display, Touch ID support and three different options for storage: 16GB, 64GB and 128GB. The new tablet is also thinner than those that came before it.
The event saw the unveiling of several other products, including the iPad mini 3, the OS X Yosemite operating system and an update to iOS 8, CNET reported.
The iPad Air 2 will be available for $499, and LTE support will cost an extra $130 for each version. Apple said pre-orders for the device start on Friday, and that the device will be available in stores "sometime next week."
