An extra on the set of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is risking getting fined millions of dollars to spill details on the upcoming superhero film. According to Comicbook.com, an anonymous source spoke to a local news outlet in Michigan - where "Dawn of Justice" is currently filming - to dish on a major fight scene and Robin being added to the script.
Side note: Warner Bros. or Zack Snyder has yet to confirm any of this information.
WILX News 10 reports that an anonymous movie extra confirmed that Robin will appear in "Dawn of Justice"... as a female. For weeks now, it's been speculated that Snyder had tapped "The Hunger Games" actress Jena Malone to play Carrie Kelley, the female version of Robin from Frank Miller's "The Dark Knight Returns."
The rumors were kicked into high gear when Ben Affleck told MTV that the director had gotten a lot of his inspiration for "Dawn of Justice" from "The Dark Knight Returns."
"I will say that I think that Zack was heavily influenced by that," he told MTV. "I think everyone's heavily influenced by that. It's the seminal work, right?"
"I don't think there's any of these [Batman movies] that have been made without drawing from that book because it's so good. And I think if you're smart, you steal from the best," he added.
Malone also teased Batman fans when she posted an Instagram photo showing off her bright red hair. The mystery source also told WILX News 10 that a scene was filmed at an art museum on Michigan State University's campus involving Bruce Wayne (Affleck) and Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg).
Supposedly the two characters get into a nasty fight at a huge red carpet party. According to the movie extra, the fight is so bad that military personnel is called in. The extra also claims that the scene involves fireworks, paparazzi and requires "heavy special effects."
"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" will be released March 25, 2016.
