NFL RUMORS: Dallas Cowboys Rolando McClain Not Worried About Contract Future

Not many people would have thought that six games into this NFL season, linebacker Rolando McClain would be leading the Dallas Cowboys in tackles, let alone participating as an active member of an NFL defense.

Fast forward a couple of months and McClain has 43 tackles, one sack, two tackles for loss, four quarterback pressures, two interceptions, two pass deflections and a forced fumble all while missing one game.

"We haven't talked about it and I'm not worried about it," McClain said of his future, as quoted by ESPN. "I'm getting ready for the Giants."

McCain was out of football last year after twice retiring to deal with personal issues. He was originally a first-round draft pick of the Oakland Raiders, eighth overall, after starring at the University of Alabama, helping the Crimson Tide win the 2010 BCS National Championship.

"I'm just happy to be with the Dallas Cowboys," McClain said. "I'm happy with our success so far. I'm having fun with my teammates. Having a good time, gelling together and playing some good ball right now."

McClain is currently making $700,000 this season and facing unrestricted free agency at the end of the year, according to ESPN.

Despite steadily growing stats and comments from teammates that paint a somewhat different picture, McClain says he doesn't see himself as a team or unit leader.

"I'm no different than anybody on the defense," McClain said. "Everybody has a role. Everybody has a part. We all just want to play to the best of our ability."
