Rapper Missy Elliot is debuting a new look.
The 43-year-old "Work It" rapper showed off a dramatically slimmer figure during her performance at Alexander Wang's H&M Collection launch in New York City on Thursday, Us Weekly reported. She reportedly has not been seen in public since last June.
Elliot debuted her new figure on Twitter, posting a picture of herself wearing a hoodie and a trucker hat featuring words "YOU CAN'T WORKOUT WITH US." She captioned the picture, writing, "Just got off stage thanks @ALEXANDERWANGNY and @hmusa for having me perform I enjoyed."
The rapper performed several tracks such as "Get Ur Freak On", "Lose Control" and "Work It Again" at the party. Other celebrities at the party were Jessica Chastain, Mary J. Blige, Solange Knowles, Dakota Fanning, Eddie Redmayne and Kate Mara.
Elliott has been committed to a healthy lifestyle since being diagnosed with Graves' disease, an autoimmune disease that attacks the thyroid and can cause nervousness, excessive sweating, weight loss, and palpitations.
The Grammy winner, who was first diagnosed in 2008, said the disease affects her motor skills and made it difficult to complete everyday tasks. She has under went radiation treatment, which improved her condition, along with taking medication.
"I feel great," Elliott told People Magazine in 2011. "Under my doctor's supervision, I've been off medication for about a year and I'm completely managing the condition through diet and exercise."
