Twitter Tuesday: LeBron James, Eli Manning, Mike Tyson & More

Twitter is a wonderful thing. It allows sports fans to stay constantly engaged with their favorite teams and players, while providing up-to-the-minute updates for all things sports. Twitter is also a fantastic source of entertainment. It contains a treasure trove of hilarious and fun tidbits bound to make you crack a smile.

In an attempt to bring you the best of both worlds, I rounded up a few of the top sports tweets over the last week.

While we may not have listed it in our best sports movies article, "Space Jam" will always be a classic to every person born in the 1990s (or any tiny aliens from another planet who happen to stumble upon this movie magic). So anytime you can work in a "Space Jam" reference into your sports tweet, you're doing something right. Plus, the secret stuff would explain how Pittsburgh exploded for 24 points in less than three minutes last night.

Let's be honest, the Manning Face would be significantly more interesting than any clumsy attempt at actual human drama on "The Walking Dead." That show should stick to killing zombies while Manning sticks to throwing interceptions. It's what the people are used to.

Media members, athletes and parody accounts all make up the majestic landscape that is Twitter. The account "Tom Brady's Ego" really pulled at the heart strings with this tweet. Everyone knows the crushing emotional blow of seeing an ex with someone else. It must hurt infinitely more when your ex beats you on national television. Oh well, distance makes the heart grow fonder, Rex.
