Smartphone fans will be happy to hear that pre-orders for the OnePlus One phone will be open on Oct. 27.
However, customers will have to get their new phones quick, as pre-orders will only be open for one hour at 11 a.m. EST, according to PC Magazine. An estimated shipping time will be provided for those who place their orders, and they can get their handsets shipped right away if they receive an invitation after submitting their pre-orders.
"Go ahead and get your order just the way you want it," OnePlus wrote on the pre-order page. "Save your cart, mark your calendar, and relax. You've got this."
The Chinese smartphone maker sent out 50,000 invites during the first half of October to prepare for the sale of its new $299 phone, TechCrunch reported.
"This was our way of testing our servers to make sure we are well-prepared for dealing with a large volume of orders," OnePlus said.
Features of OnePlus One include a 5.5-inch screen, a 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB of RAM, a 3100mAh battery and options for 16 and 64GB of storage, PC Magazine reported.
OnePlus said it had "great success" with the trial but added that "anything can happen" on Oct. 27. The company said if any technical issues occur, all customers need to do is be patient.
