Kate Middleton is finally feeling better and debuted her tiny baby bump Tuesday morning (Oct. 21) while greeting the President of Singapore, Tony Tan, and his wife Mary. The 32-year-old has kept out of the spotlight since announcing her second pregnancy on Sept. 8 and had to cancel several appearances due to extreme morning sickness.
According to the Mirror, the Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William greeted the Tans a little before noon at London's Royal Garden Hotel. Middleton, who was all smiles, concealed her bump under a gray Alexander McQueen coat dress.
The Mirror reports that Mary told the Duchess that she was glad she was well enough to make it to the event.
"So am I," the Duchess replied. "I've been looking forward to getting out of the house, that's for sure!"
Middleton and Prince William then escorted Tony and Mary Tan to the Horse Guards Parade for a ceremonial welcome with Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip. According to E! News, the Tans along with Prince William, the queen and Prince Philip all enjoyed lunch at Buckingham Palace. Middleton decided to skip the lunch event but is expected to meet up with everyone later Tuesday evening for the Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2015 Awards Ceremony at The Natural Museum of History.
On Monday it was announced that Middleton, who is believed to be 12 weeks along in her pregnancy, will give birth to the second royal baby in April. The child could be an early anniversary gift to the royal couple who married on April 29, 2011.
Queen Elizabeth will also be celebrating that month; she turns 89 on April 21. Middleton and Prince William are parents to 1-year-old Prince George, who was born on July 22.
"Their Royal Highnesses, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to confirm they are expecting a baby in April 2015," Kensington Palace said in a statement. "The Duchess of Cambridge continues to be affected by Hyperemesis Gravidarum, but her condition is steadily improving."
