“Scandal” star Kerry Washington is on the cover of Allure magazine rocking a fresh face to show off her natural beauty.
Inside the cover, Washington dished details about her chemistry with actor Tony Goldwyn, which is something they’ve invested in as actors to make it believable without being disrespectful to their partners.
Goldwyn, 54, is married to Jane Michelle Musky and have two daughters together while Washington, 37, has husband Nnamdi Asomugha and just welcomed their own little girl earlier in 2014.
"Particularly with a show like ours, where people are so invested in the chemistry, you just learn to be careful, because people's real relationships in life are important. I so respect and admire his wife and him and their family, and he feels the same way about mine. And so you learn to be careful about how you say things,” Washington told Allure.
Washington is comfortable working with Goldwyn and enjoys her time on the “Scandal” set. The actress also claimed she’s able to channel her character Olivia Pope just by swapping out her shoes.
"There's a reason why you say, 'Oh, they walk in this world in a certain way.' Shoes have a big impact," she says. "Even in rehearsals at Scandal, oftentimes I'll ask for my shoes," the actress continues. "I'll be standing around in my sweatpants and tank top and hoodie sweatshirt with Christian Dior or Gucci shoes, because I want to be able to walk and stand like Olivia.... How a person walks says a lot about who they are."
The talented actress is also a creative consultant for Neutrogena, and her makeup artist Dotti help create her natural cover look using the “drug store” brand products, according to Allure.
"We wanted everything to look like a tint," Dotti said, adding the look can be of re-created with Neutrogena Nourishing Eyeliner in Spiced Chocolate, Neutrogena Healthy Volume Mascara, Neutrogena Crease Proof Eye Shadow in Constant Copper, and Neutrogena MoistureSmooth Color Stick in Warm Caramel.
