Scary Kids Scaring Kids Former Vocalist Tyson Stevens Dead At 29

Post - hardcore band Scary Kids Scaring Kids has lost its former vocalist. Tyson Stevens died on Wednesday at the age of 29, Pulp Magazine Live reported.

His girlfriend Sabrina Amber and current band Coma Prevail confirmed the death on Facebook. The Alt Press first broke the news that the singer's body was discovered by Amber. Coma Prevail posted a very short notice on their Facebook band page.

"Unfortunately the rumors are true. Out of respect for family we will post details soon. Thank you," they said roughly 14 hours ago.

The reason for his death has not been released.

Stevens formed the synth - driven band in Arizona in 2002 and they enjoyed considerable niche success through the mid-2000's, touring with Warped Tour in 2009 and playing shows across the United States before they disbanded in 2010. Followed their debut EP, After Dark, the band released two full - length albums, The City Sleeps In Flames in 2005 and Scary Kids Scaring Kids in 2007, the Alt Press reported.

On Facebook, fans wrote sad messages about Stevens' death.

"Another musical artist of mine has fallen. Thanks for amazing music and your lyrics which helped me tremendously in my younger years. You're a legend in the music scene and will never be forgotten," Miles Brady Ayres said.

"SKSK was one of my favorite bands. I had been listening to them again recently and had just listened to them earlier today before i heard the news. Thinking of you all and his family tonight," Jessie Nichole Pugh said.
