'Breaking Bad' Actor Aaron Paul Slams Toys R Us For Removing Action Figures: 'What About All Of The Violent Video Games You Sell?'

Actor Aaron Paul slams Toy R Us’ decision to remove the “Breaking Bad” action figures from their shelves after a Florida mom petitioned the store to pull the items.

The actor took to his Twitter account to share his frustration with the toy store’s decision, claiming Barbie dolls are more “damaging” to children than “Breaking Bad” toys.

“Wait, so [Toys R Us] pulled all of the Breaking Bad figures from their shelves and still sells Barbie? Hmmmm...I wonder what is more damaging?” the actor wrote.

The actor added, “And what about all of the violent video games you sell [Toys R Us]? Do you still sell those? Florida mom really messed it up for everyone.”

Paul retaliated against the store’s decision by sharing a counter petition to get the toys back on store shelves. Daniel Pinkett, the creator of the petition, argued the “Breaking Bad” action figures, which comes with a detachable sack of cash and a bag of meth, aren’t placed near toys marketed for a younger audience. He also argues Toys R Us doesn’t prevent the sale of violent video games in their stores.

“Just like [Toys R Us] doesn't sell ‘M’ rated video game titles to young kids, they will not sell age-inappropriate toys to kids,” Pinkett wrote in the petition. “PARENTS should be the one dictating what their kids watch, buy, read, play and consume, NOT the buyers or employees of Toys R Us.

“If you don't want to be ‘forced to explain why a certain toy comes with a bag of highly dangerous and illegal drugs or why someone who sells those drugs deserves to be made into an action figure’ then simply don't walk your kid down that aisle. Problem solved.

“I'm a parent of a school aged child myself, but I'm an informed, responsible parent and I closely monitor the toys, TV, music, movies and games that my daughter sees.”
