High School Hookers? Teen Girls Allegedly Selling Sex In Boys Bathroom

A group of six teenaged girls were suspended from their high school for allegedly selling sex in the boys bathroom.

The teens allegedly were performing sexual acts for $5 - and sometimes even for free - in the boys bathroom at their high school in Tennessee.

The alleged prostitution is said to be occurring during school hours.

"Students in the school who were either subjected to it, took part in it, knew about it, counseling is warranted in my estimation," Beverly Schaefgen, a mental health counselor not involved with the case tells WMC Action News 5. "It's such a cry for help, 'Notice me. I'm hurting. Help me.'"

The investigation was confirmed earlier this week by Shelby County Schools.

"We are aware of the allegations regarding some students at Bolton High School being involved in sex acts on campus," the school said in a statement. "Six students have been suspended for varying reasons as a result of the investigation. There have been no criminal charges in connection with the investigation."

No arrests have been made yet. The investigation is ongoing.
