What do get when a bunch of mega-selling songwriters forms a band ? You get something special ... and it's called Old Dominion.
The five-man band, Old Dominion, has teamed up with ReeSmack Records and Shane McAnally to release their self-titled debut EP today. The 5-track EP is Old Dominion's response to fans who have been anxiously awaiting new music from the emerging band. After 10 years of chart-topping writing success, the band's EP is available for purchase on iTunes.
Old Dominion - Matthew Ramsey, Trevor Rosen, Whit Sellers, Geoff Sprung and Brad Tursi - has been writing and honing their sound as a band for 10 years. As hit songwriters, their songs have been recorded Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, Chris Young, The Band Perry, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Tyler Farr, Dustin Lynch, Craig Morgan, Jake Owen and more.
The EP includes the hot current single "Shut Me Up" that Taste of Country recently called "the perfect song to end the summer" as well as "a song that's pure country rock with the perfect hint of an infectious pop hit." On the EP, you can also find fan-favorites "Break Up With Him" and, of course, "Beer Can in a Truck Bed."
Old Dominion kicked off their release date by chatting with SiriusXM's Storme Warren on The Highway on Oct. 7. "Shut Me Up" has received great feedback on The Highway and was also be heard on the Oct. 9 episode of ABC's hit series "Nashville."
This fall, Old Dominion will join Chase Rice on select dates for Rice's Ignite the Night Tour, playing their original songs and well-known hits. The band will also play a headlining show at Nashville's Mercy Lounge on Nov. 19.
