The Kansas City Royals play the San Francisco Giants on Sunday in Game 5 of the 2014 World Series. The game starts at 8:07 p.m. ET. Watch the live stream or listen to the radio broadcast via the links provided below.
San Francisco bounced back from losing two straight games with an 11-4 win on Saturday. The Giants trailed 4-1 at the top of the third inning, but the team chipped away at the deficit until a single from third baseman Pablo Sandoval drove in two runs to put San Francisco ahead for good. From there, the Giants scored 10 unanswered runs.
"We never give up, that's the thing," Sandoval said, via ESPN. "We've been doing it all year in these situations. We know how that feels."
The Giants turn to pitcher Madison Bumgarner on Sunday to help take the series back to Kansas City with a commanding 3-2 lead. He gave up only one run on three-hit ball while fanning five batters in the World Series opener, a performance he'll look to repeat in Game 5.
Bumgarner also dismissed a report about him having pushed to start on Saturday in place of Ryan Vogelsong.
"It sounds like I'm trying to run the team, which I'm certainly not," Bumgarner said. "It doesn't make any sense to me why that would happen. I never said anything to anyone about anything. We knew that was an option, and I prepared where I would be ready for Game 4 or 5 or any of them. That's just ridiculous."
He'll be opposed by Royals pitcher James Shields, who gave up five earned runs through three innings in the series opening 7-1 loss. Given a chance at redemption, Shields said he planned not to let the moment get too big for him.
"It's just kind of one of those things as a baseball player you've got to really hone in (your emotions)," Shields said. "I've been on this stage before, and I know exactly what to feel like when I'm out there. I think this time around I'm not going to be as amped up and (will) just try to keep my emotions in check."
