Colt McCoy will start for the Washington Redskins tonight against the Dallas Cowboys, but it may be the final time an unfamiliar face lines up under center for Washington this season.
Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com thinks Robert Griffin III could make his return from a dislocated ankle before the team's Week 10 bye.
"But don't be surprised if Griffin comes back on Sunday against the Vikings," Florio wrote. "Even though the Vikings beat Tampa on Sunday, Minnesota has a struggling offense and an uneven defense. It gives Griffin, who dislocated an ankle in Week Two, a realistic chance to win in his return, and it avoids a potential clamoring for Colt McCoy to keep the job if he pulls a reverse Clint Longley on Monday night and then beats the Vikings entering the annual week off."
If not next week, Griffin would most likely return in Week 11 against the Buccaneers.
RGIII is currently available in roughly 75% of ESPN fantasy leagues, and could be a potential contributor down the stretch for any fantasy team trying to make a playoff push.
