Jep Robertson, star of A&E's hit series "Duck Dynasty" is recovering after experiencing a major health scare.
Us Weekly reported that the 36-year-old reality star and youngest son of patriarch Phil Robertson was rushed to a hospital after suffering from a seizure while deer hunting last weekend.
"Earlier this week while deer hunting, Jep suffered from a seizure," the family said in a statement. "Thankfully, he was in the stand with friends, and Willie was at the hunting camp when it occurred so he was by his side in a matter of minutes."
The statement added that Robertson is currently doing well, but must remain hospitalized for further test and observation. Us Weekly reported that the cause of his seizure has not yet been discovered.
"He is being treated with antibiotics to cover a range of possible infections believed to have caused the seizure," the statement continued. "Our family would like to thank everyone for their love and support and ask that you keep Jep, Jessica and their children in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time."
Robertson tweeted about the incident and thanked his fans for their support, writing, "Well, I about died this past Sunday...I'm doing much better now. Thanks for all the prayers! #seizuresuck #gladtobealive"
The reality star frequently appears on his family's A&E show, along with his wife Jessica and bothers Alan and Jase Robertson. He was recently seen supporting his niece, Sadie Robertson, during her "Dancing With the Stars" performance earlier this month.
