College Football Power Rankings: Who’s Up and Who’s Down?

ESPN has released its college football power rankings for Week 10, and there are some changes among the one-loss teams.

Mississippi State and Florida State remain the top two teams at 7-0, although FSU does have a tough matchup against No. 25 Louisville this Thursday.

Oregon (No. 4) returns to the top five after a high-scoring win over California. Alabama moves up to No. 3 and is in a good position to win the West.

TCU made the biggest jump in the rankings from No. 10 to No. 5, following an 82-point explosion against Texas Tech. But the Frogs' next two games, WVU and Kansas State, won't be as easy.

Auburn and Ole Miss both fell out of the top five, with the Tigers falling three spots to No. 7, and the Rebels tumbling seven spots to No. 10. Ole Miss quarterback Bo Wallace needs to avoid costly turnovers to return the Rebels to contender status. Auburn, meanwhile, looked shaky during their win over South Carolina. A matchup between these two teams on Saturday will go a long way in deciding their chances at the college football playoffs.
