Once Mr. Schuester says his final goodbyes to the glee club, Matthew Morrison will follow in the footsteps of Rachel Berry and head to the Big Apple.
The "Glee" star plans to leave Los Angeles and move back to New York with his new bride, Renne Puente, after the Fox show wraps its sixth and final season, according to E! News. He also has "something in the works" for a possible return to Broadway.
"We're working on something. It's a brand-new show. Hopefully, it all works out," he told E! News on Oct. 26. I'm looking forward to getting back on stage. Those are my roots. My heart is on the stage."
Morrison and Puente tied the knot in front of about 50 family and friends at a private home on the island of Maui on Oct. 18. The newlyweds survived a freak hurricane, but the severe weather brought a beautiful sunset for the wedding festivities.
"I think the biggest surprise was there was a hurricane in Hawaii when we were there, so that led to a lot of, I guess, stress that we didn't really anticipate," Morrison told People. "The hurricane brought the most amazing sky that night. It was a green sunset, which is kind of an anomaly. So that was special."
The happy couple won't celebrate their honeymoon until 2016, thought. They plan to spend three weeks in Africa vacationing and volunteering.
"One week at a kind of nice hotel, one week safari and one week helping out and volunteering with children," Morrison told E! News.
The Morrisons will hold off on any children of their own for a while.
"We want to start trying in a couple of years," Puente said. "I am so excited to just live as his wife and for us to be each other's priority."
"Glee" will premiere its final season at midseason with 13 new episodes.
