Paul Daley: MMA Fighter Gets Visa in U.S., Aiming at Bellator Return in 2015

Bellator MMA's Paul Daley is looking to make a comeback in 2015 after getting his visa on Monday.

The British welterweight currently holds a 35-13-2 record in MMA, having won his first fight in 2012 against Rudy Bears with a knockout, according to MMA Fighting. Daley has competed in other promotions as well, such as the UFC and Strikeforce.

The victory over Bears put Daley in a fight against War Machine in the welterweight tournament during Bellator's eighth season, but Daley had to request for his release from the promotion due to overseas legal issues.

Getting the visa gives Daley the opportunity to fight in the U.S. for the first time in more than two years, Bloody Elbow reported. The 31-year-old striker won his last two fights, the latest being against Marinho Moreira de Rocha at BAMMA 16 with a knockout in the second round.

Bellator recently expressed interest in putting Daley against Melvin Manhoef next month, but MMA fans will most likely have to wait for at most a year for that fight to take place.
