Elizabeth Norment Dead at 61: ‘House of Cards’ Actor Kevin Spacey Pays Tribute to Late Co-Star

Actress Elizabeth Norment, one of the stars of Netflix's original series "House of Cards," has died at the age of 61. Her sister, Kate, confirmed the news to The Hollywood Reporter, saying that Norment passed on Oct. 13 at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York.

"Everyone at 'House of Cards' is deeply saddened by Elizabeth's passing," showrunner Beau Willimon said in a statement. "She was a talented actress, a warm soul and a good friend to us all."

So far, no other information has been released about the death.

Norment played Nancy Kaufberger, Frank Underwood's secretary, on the show. Underwood was played by actor Kevin Spacey, who tweeted his condolences shortly after the news broke.

"RIP Elizabeth Norment. We all loved her and she leaves a void in all of us here at HoC's," he wrote.

Besides starring on "House of Cards," Norment had a role on "Law & Order" as Judge Arlene Brewer, as well as supporting roles on "ER," "Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion" and "Doogie Howser, M.D."
