The “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” production hired 300 extras to help them film a scene Michigan State University's Broad Art Museum. One of those 300 extras was a United States senator.
The Huffington Post reports Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-Mich.) couldn’t “confirm or deny” what her role was in the film, but she did enjoy her time on the “Batman vs. Superman” set.
"I'm a huge movie buff. I was part of 300 extras that they brought on to do things." Stabenow said. "It was great fun."
Stabenow may have also confirmed Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) appearance in the “Batman vs. Superman” movie. Stabenow told HuffPost Leahy offered her the role and she accepted.
"I guess somebody said I thought it would be fun, so I was invited," Stabenow said. "It'll probably be two minutes in the movie, but it was exciting to watch, and I loved the director."
Stabenow also revealed actor Ben Affleck was a terrific Batman on set and DC fans will definitely enjoy his performance.
"The whole cast, are really smart, terrific people," Stabenow said. "It's going to be a fantastic movie, I can tell you that."
Speaking of Batman, Affleck’s wife Jennifer Garner recently dished details regarding her husband’s superhero voice. During an interview with Empire magazine (via ComicBookMovie), Garner gushed about hearing his sexy new voice while on the “Batman vs. Superman” set.
"We were not privy to the Batman voice at home, but I've been on set enough to hear bits of it,” she told Empire. “It's spot on. Growly and decisive and sexy, if I do say so myself! Exactly what you would hope it to be!"
"Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice" will premiere in theaters on March 25, 2016.
