How Luke Bryan Reached a Career-High 1.7 Million Fans This Year

Luke Bryan has spent a lot time this year barreling across North America in his tour bus. The constant grind of all the miles on the road have done exactly what he wanted them to: reach more fans than ever before!

This weekend the "Drunk On You" singer performed the final show of his 77-city "That's My Kind of Night Tour" - and when the final total was tallied, he had played to 1.7 million fans in 2014.

Here's the breakdown:

The extensive "That's My Kind of Night" Tour put Bryan in front of 1.2 appreciative fans.

Back in March, he performed for a whopping 230,000 fans at his pair of Panama City Beach, Fla., concerts during Spring Break.

Earlier in the fall, Bryan's eight-city "Farm Tour" put another 110,000 fans in front of his stage.

Plus, at the fairs and festival where Luke was the headliner, he attracted an additional 160,000 fans.

So, if you do the math, he sang his songs to 1.7 million people this year, which makes 2014 the best touring year of his career.

"We have enjoyed seizing the moments every day on this tour," explains Bryan, who had a mega-hit with "That's My Kind of Night." He tacks on: "I'm having the time of my life."

The singer continues, "We've played all types of shows this year. It's just as exciting to play for smaller capacity crowds during a two-day run in the very northern point of Canada as it is to 60,000 screaming fans at the stadiums shows or for the beach crowds at Spring Break, or to the first time fan who may have never been to a concert until the 'Farm Tour' came to their small rural community.

"I am so grateful to everyone on my team from my road crew to my fans that have made this year so amazing!

Here are some of the highlights from Bryan's "That's My Kind of Night" Tour:

  • Four sold-out stadium shows where a combined 225,000 people attended.
  • Setting all-time country record for sold tickets at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh and at Soldier Field in Chicago.
  • Two sold-out shows in New York City's Madison Square Garden
  • He became the first country artist to play Brooklyn's Barclays Center.

The winter leg of the tour kicks off in February. Randy Houser and Dustin Lynch will join Bryan on the road.
