Kardashian Kids Clothing Line Too Sexy For Babies ‘R’ Us, Petition Claims

A Florida mother successfully pressured Toys 'R' Us to pull "Breaking Bad" figurines from its store shelves. A Kansas mother hopes to have the same success with the toy store's sister company, Babies 'R' Us, and the Kardashian Kids clothing line.

"I don't want my child to grow up to be a Sex Tape star," Amie Logan, from Roeland Park, wrote on her Change.org petition.

The "Stop Selling Kardashian Kids Clothing" launched on Oct. 30 with a goal of 2,500 signatures. Logan reached her goal in less than 24 hours and closed the petition with 2,941 supporters.

Susan Myers of Fort Myers, Fla., received almost 9,300 signatures for petition requesting Toys 'R' Us "Remove Breaking Bad Dolls From Their Shelves." The toy story folded to the pressure and pulled the four figurines based on character from the Emmy-winning series on Oct. 22.

"You pulled the Breaking Bad toys because they promoted Drug use. You should pull this clothing line because it promotes bad behavior as well," Logan wrote. "The madness has to stop. If the toys are damaging so is the clothing."

The "Breaking Bad" toys had the characters carrying guns and blue crystals (that looked like the crystal meth manufactured on the show). The possibly objectionable items found in the Kardashian Kids clothing include the Black Leatherette Flared Skirt or the Leatherette Panel Leggings.

Whereas Logan objected to the clothing style, some petition supporters made their argument against the Kardashian family.

"These women represent a family whose fame is based on a sex tape. I would never want my daughter to have to be so desperate for attention in life to do something so degrading," Karry Richardson of Pennsylvania wrote. "The fact Babies 'R' Us endorses this family is disgusting."

The children's clothing store has not yet made a statement regarding the petition.
