Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert's ‘Somethin’ Bad’ Turns Into Somethin’ Phenomenally Good (WATCH)

It's a great time for the Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert connection. The two superstars teamed up for their first-ever collaboration on the smash hit song "Somethin' Bad." And now the song has turned into something oh-so-good with a trio of honors.

First off, "Somethin' Bad," from Lambert's "Platinum" CD has mimicked the album's title by officially being certified as a RIAA Platinum Digital Single - marking a nothing-bad-at-all one million in sales.

Two other industry recognitions for the duet that soared to No. 1 take place on the CMA Awards show Nov. 5. "Somethin' Bad" has nailed down a pair of CMA nominations for Lambert and Underwood. They are up for Musical Event of the Year and Music Video of the Year.

Some folks have likened the Lambert-Underwood combo to the heroines in the movie "Thelma and Louise." The connection isn't much of a stretch since these lines from "Somethin' Bad" tell the tale:

"Bout to tear it up down in New Orleans, just like a real-life Thelma and Louise. If the cops catch up, they're gonna call it kidnappin'. Got a real good feelin' somethin' bad about to happen.

Now, the folks in Underwood's native Oklahoma are quick to point out their own connection to "Somethin' Bad." After all, Underwood is from Muskogee, Okla., and Texan Lambert now lives in Tishomingo, Okla. 'Nough said.
