A new trailer to the sequel of the horror film ‘Insidious’, came out Thursday, revealing that problems seem to follow the Lamberts.
When the first movie debuted in 2011, it made a little over $13 million in its opening weekend, according to Box Office Mojo. Its total gross revenue in the U.S. is about $54 million. Its total gross revenue around the world was approximately $97 million. All this came on a production budget of $1.5 million.
According to Screen Rant, “Insidious” was about a demon who takes over little Dalton Lambert. Dalton had fallen from a ladder but appeared fine. However, he had gone into a coma. Pretty soon weird and eerie things begin to happen around the house.
“Insidious 2” is expected to pick up where its predecessor left off, answering the questions viewers had at upon the movie’s conclusion.
At the end of the first movie, Dalton’s dad Josh had to go into “The Further” to rescue his son. When Josh returns with Dalton it appears that viewers were in for a happy, triumphant ending. (Dalton had the same ability as his father to astral project during sleep. He had gone so far that he ended up in “The Further”) However, Josh had come back from “The Further” as the scary woman who used to follow him while he astral projected as a child.
Despite the first movies ending, the trailer for the second movie begins with the Dalton’s enjoying life in a new house with no creepiness. It isn’t until a bit later that they realize their problems have followed them. Watch below.
