Weather Channel co-founder and meteorologist John Coleman joined Fox News' Megyn Kelly on Monday night to discuss his skeptical view on climate change, according to the Huffington Post.
Coleman shocked many global warming believers by writing an open letter in October claiming that the science behind climate change is invalid.
"There is no significant man-made global warming at this time, there has been none in the past and there is no reason to fear any in the future," Coleman wrote. "Efforts to prove the theory that carbon dioxide is a significant greenhouse gas and pollutant causing significant warming or weather effects have failed."
"There has been no warming over 18 years," he added in his letter.
"It's very difficult for anybody to be against it, because the media has told the nation over and over again, day after day for 20 years that the oceans are rising, the polar bears are dying, the ice is melting, that storms are going to sweep the earth and that we're all going to die of a heat wave," Coleman said, according to the Huffington Post.
"This is an incredible, bad, bad science."
