Actress Angie Harmon and former football player husband Jason Sehorn are separating after 13 years of marriage, People Magazine reported.
"For the sake of their children, they ask for respect and privacy as they navigate this time in their lives," a representative for the actress told People.
In 1998, Sehorn, who currently works as a college football analyst for ESPNU, surprised his then-girlfriend by walking out onto "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," set and proposing to her in front of the audience. The couple married in 2001 and has three daughters together - five-year-old Emery, nine-year-old Avery and 11-year-old Finley.
In a 2011 interview with Your Tango, the 42-year-old actress opened up about trying to make her marriage work while maintaining a fulltime career. Harmon's filmed her TNT series "Rizzoli & Isles" in Los Angeles while her family was based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
"Marriage is a lot of work, really. We don't get out Friday nights early enough to catch a flight home," she told the publication. "So I'm here [in L.A.]. We sometimes meet in Texas, a two-and-a-half-hour flight for both of us. I miss my kids, so it's hard, but my children are so understanding."
Adding, "You have to be really considerate of each other, really kind to each other. It's a lot of work."
