Taylor Swift Pulls Entire Music Catalog From Spotify

Taylor Swift must pay to listen to her music. The music superstar held back from releasing her new album "1989" on Spotify, and then decided to pull her entire catalog from the music streaming service.

Spotify listed "1989" on Swift's artist page when the album dropped on Oct. 27. Subscribers could see the track list, but couldn't play the songs.

"The artist or their representatives have decided not to release this album on Spotify. We are working on it and hope they will change their mind soon," a message from Spotify read above the album.

Swift changed her mind, but in the complete opposite direction. Neither "1989" nor her four previous albums will stream on Spotify. Her songs on soundtracks such as "The Hunger Games," "Valentine's Day" and "Hannah Montana: The Movie" are still available.
