Wedding Ring Accidentally Given Away While Handing Out Halloween Candy

A trick-or-treater in Arizona may have a local woman's missing wedding ring buried in their piles of Halloween candy.

Brooklin Yazzie of Mesa, Arizona, took her wedding ring off and placed it in a candy jar while helping her two daughters carve pumpkins on Halloween.

Without thinking, she dumped the candy jar into the bag of sweets she was giving away to the trick-or-treaters coming around town, Yazzie told ABC 15.

Yazzie said she was barely 20 years old when she married her husband about a decade ago. They couldn't afford an expensive ring back then, so whoever finds the ring wouldn't get a lot of money if they decided to pawn the piece of jewelry instead of returning it to her.

But to Yazzie, it's more than just an inexpensive ring.

"It's my wedding ring, you know? I mean you could replace it but it's not the same," she told ABC 15.
