Rockstar Games announced today a limited edition (only 5,000 units) release of "The Music of Grand Theft Auto V."
Timed alongside the launch of the new versions of "Grand Theft Auto V" for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC, the music collection will be available on December 9 in CD and retro-vinyl formats.
"The Music of Grand Theft Auto V," a collaboration with Mass Appeal Records, includes 59 tracks from A$AP Rocky, Tyler, The Creator, Twin Shadow, Wavves, Flying Lotus, Yeasayer and more, as well as the original score composed by Tangerine Dream, Woody Jackson, The Alchemist + Oh No, mixed by DJ Shadow.
The vinyl set will feature six records, a full color booklet and a poster in a classic box-set. The CD collection includes three discs along with a GTA gold brick-shaped USB Drive, artwork and poster all sealed in a die-cut package.
The GTA series has always been known for its amazing music, both in terms of overall score and the tunes that pump out from the various "virtual" radio stations in the game itself. This is a fantastic collection that any fans of the GTA series, or just great music in general, should seriously consider picking up before it is long gone.
