Cleveland (1-1) bounced back from their season opening loss on Thursday against the New York Knicks with a 114-108 overtime win at Chicago. LeBron James looked like LeBron James with 36 points and eight rebounds, but Cavaliers forward Tristan Thompson stole the show with 16 points and 13 rebounds, 12 of which were offensive boards.

"It's a true testament to how hard Tristan works," said Cavaliers star Kyrie Irving, via ESPN. "That's something that he gives us. He gives us energy, and that's what we want him to do every single night. I know he's capable of doing it. For us, it just adds another dimension for our team to get more possessions."

Portland, meanwhile, is 1-2 after losing two straight games. Their first loss came against the Sacramento Kings, followed by a 95-90 loss Sunday at home against the Golden State Warriors.

While forward LaMarcus Aldridge has carried last season's dominant performance into the new season, point guard Damian Lillard has struggled to the tune of just 13.7 points and 4.0 assists per game.

Lillard also made headlines this week when a series of tweets he made three years ago resurfaced. The tweets, which were critical of James's NBA finals performance against the Dallas Mavericks, were made by Lillard while still Weber State University.

Lillard said he called James after the old tweets surfaced this week, according to ESPN, and James said he hadn't even been aware.

"I didn't even see the tweets, I don't really get into social media like that," said James. "He came to me before [the tweets] even got to me. We hashed it out right there, so no big deal."
