Chinese Courts Auction Impounded Assets On Taobao For Anti-Corruption Campaign (VIDEO)

Want to get a BMW, a diamond ring or a hotel at a steal?

You can...now that Chinese courts are auctioning off items stolen by "tens of thousands" of corrupt officials and executives, according to CNN Money.

Taobao.com, an online shopping site owned by tech giant Alibaba, is hosting the anti-corruption auction with more than 500 courts contributing impounded items.

You can get a cell phone for as low as seven dollars, or a villa for $3.4 million. You can search the site by price, category, location or even court, but information on previous owners will not be provided.

There have been some reports of underhanded deals or auction rigging, which is exactly what the anti-corruption task force is trying to cease.

Annual active buyers rose 52 percent from last year's reports. Tuesday was the first earnings report for Alibaba since its "record-setting September IPO," according to CNN Money.
