The Duggar family has grown once more with the new addition of Marcus Anthony Duggar.
Marcus was born on June 2 to Joshua Duggar, 25, the oldest of Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar, stars of TLC's reality series "19 Kids and Counting", and his wife Anna, weighing in at nine pounds, three ounces.
"We are so thankful that mom and baby are well," the couple told People magazine. "We are blessed to have our family close as we celebrate this gift from God."
TLC will feature Marcus's birth on a special episode of "19 Kids & Counting" called "19 Kids & Counting: GrandDuggar Makes 3!" that will air on Sunday, June 16 at 8/7c.
The young Christian couple plans to follow in Michelle and Jim Bob's footsteps by having as many children as "God gives us."
Marcus is the youngest of 3, to oldest sister Mackynzie, three-and-a-half, and brother Michael, who will be two this month.
The family found fame in 2008 with "17 Kids & Counting" (then "18 Kids & Counting"), a show about an exceptionally large Arkansas family born to licensed real estate agent Michelle Duggar, and former state representative Jim Bob Duggar.
The Duggars describe themselves as not your average family.
"And while raising 19 kids can be a challenge, for the Duggars, it comes with more than its share of rewards."
The series was originally meant to chronicle the pregnancies of Michelle years after she had a miscarriage that was, to their belief, induced by her previous use of birth control.
Grieved by this loss, the Duggars vowed to never use contraceptives again, asking God to forgive them and grant them with as many children as humanly possible. Years later, they are the proud parents to 10 boys and nine girls.
Today their oldest son, Joshua, is continuing their Christian and familial traditions, and plans to have as many children as his wife, Anna, can bear.
