According to NeoGAF, "Fallout: Shadow of Boston" may be the title of the next game in the series...or it could possibly be a TV show. The site uncovered that Bethesda Softworks, the developers of the iconic series, registered the trademark with the German Patent and Trademark Office on October 27. Although it might be nothing, the trademark doesn't only include video games; it also encompasses "auditioning for TV game shows."
A "Fallout" TV series has been rumored before. GameSpot reported in January of 2013 that Bethesda had filed a trademark for "ongoing television program set in a post-nuclear apocalyptic world." But there hasn't been a peep about that concept until now.
It isn't the oddest thing Bethesda could do, since the post-apocalyptic milieu is quite popular these days. The show could be something very cool...if it was handled and produced properly, od course.
To be frank, anything new set in the Fallout universe would be most welcomed since there hasn't been anything on that front since "Fallout: New Vegas" was released way back in 2010.
Stay tuned to HNGN for more as it develops.
