Washington Murder Suspect Allegedly Posted Photos Of Dead Victim To 4chan

Washington murder suspect David Kalac may have posted graphic images of his female victim to the image-sharing website 4chan before stealing her car and leading police in Oregon on a high-speed chase, according to NBC News.

A family member discovered the body of the woman, who was in her 30's, and called 911 around 3:26 p.m. on Nov. 4 from her Port Orchard apartment, located west of Seattle, according to the Port Orchard Independent. The Kitsap County Sheriff's patrol deputies arrived at 3:32 p.m., followed by detectives.

An anonymous individual appeared to post the photos to 4chan before 3 p.m, but were later deleted. The poster left details of the crime, and then replied when others started to question the authenticity of the photos.

"Turns out it's way harder to strangle someone to death than it looks on the movies," the individual posted and then replied later, "Check the news for Port Orchard, Washington, in a few hours. Her son will be home from school soon. He'll find her, then call the cops. I just wanted to share the pics before they find me."

The photos showed the dead woman lying nude on a bed, according to the Post Orchard Independent.

The individual also had plans to commit suicide by police, according to another post. "I just wanted to share the pics before they find me. I bought a bb gun that looks realistic enough. When they come, I'll put it and it will be suicide by cop. I understand the doubts. Just click the @#% news. I have to lose my phone now," the post read.

The sheriff's office believed the victim was targeted and was not a random event, Deputy Scott Wilson, a spokesman for the sheriff's office told KING 5, the local NBC affiliate.

"Any time we have images of this graphic nature that are posted online and perpetrate to be this crime scene we are going to take those seriously, but we're unable to confirm whether those photographs are of this victim," Wilson said.

Police also found the victim's 2001 gold four-door Ford Focus missing. Police in Portland pulled over a car matching the description just after 1 a.m. on Nov. 5, but the driver pulled away quickly, leading cops on a high-speed chase, according to NBC News. The police pursued the car across a bridge and down a major road, but called off the chase when the driver swerved into oncoming traffic.

"Kalac is believed to be armed and dangerous," police said in a statement. He has yet to be caught.

The whole ordeal has left neighbors shaken and upset. One woman, who lived next door to the victim, wants to move out due to the violent act.

"I can't help but think, did she cry out for help? Did she bang on the wall?" Marlene Fecto told NBC News. "It's all I can think of - was my TV up too loud? Why didn't I hear her?"

The Kitsap County coroner will determine the cause and manner of death in a parallel investigation to the sheriff's office's investigation.
