“Star Wars: Episode VII” has wrapped their principal photography an unveiled the movie’s official title: “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”
The film is set 30 years after the “Return of the Jedi.” “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” will star returning cast members Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Kenny Baker and Peter Mayhew as well as new franchise actors John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Domhnall Gleeson, Lupita Nyong'o and Gwendoline Christie.
“Star Wars: Episode VII” began filming early this summer in Abu Dhabi and ended at their Pinewoods Studios set in London. The production has been plagued with photo leaks as well as injuries.
A few months after production began, Han Solo actor Harrison Ford broke his leg when a hydraulic door from the Millennium Falcon fell on it. His injury delayed the production for a few weeks to give the actor time to recover.
As far as leaks are concerned, many fan sites have published reports of unnamed sources claiming to have inside information about “Star Wars: Episode VII.” The production hasn’t confirmed any of the alleged concept art images, set photos and plot detail leaks.
However, C-3PO actor Anthony Daniels has assured fans the will be satisfied with the next generation “Star Wars” film.
“’No movie sequel is better than The Empire Strikes Back.’ You might eat those words for Xmas dinner in 2015. Joy & Indigestion to the world,” Daniels wrote on his Twitter account.
“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is set to hit theaters on Dec. 18, 2015.
