Beyoncé Sued for $3 Million For Plagiarizing Single 'XO' (VIDEO)

Beyoncé just can't catch a break.

A former background singer is suing the 33-year-old artist over her 2013 hit song "XO." Singer Ahmad Javon Lane claimed that Beyoncé ripped-off his song "XOXO," which he said was originally written for another singer who worked for the artist, according to TMZ.

In the suit Lance wrote that he shared the song with a singer who provided background vocals for Beyoncé. Lane added that Beyoncé changed the song in order to put it on her 2013 self-titled album "Beyoncé."

He is seeking nearly $3 million in damages, but is willing to settle in court, according to TMZ. Beyoncé, who was recently crowned Fords top-earning woman in music, has not responded to the allegations.

In December, former NASA astronauts and their families slammed Beyoncé for using an audio taping from the 1986 space shuttle Challenger explosion that killed seven members aboard.

"My heart goes out to the families of those lost in the Challenger disaster. The song 'XO' was recorded with the sincerest intention to help heal those who have lost loved ones and to remind us that unexpected things happen, so love and appreciate every minute that you have with those who mean the most to you, " Beyoncé said in a statement to ABC News.

"The songwriters included the audio in tribute to the unselfish work of the Challenger crew with hope that they will never be forgotten."
