Sounds like things are getting serious between Nick Young and Iggy Azalea.
In a new interview with Du Jour Magazine, the 29-year-old Los Angeles Lakers forward gets candid about his relationship with the 24-year-old Australian rapper. After a year of dating, the duo took the next step in their relationship and purchased a house together.
"Growing up I always wanted to be married and have a family, and it's difficult. I ask [my parents] every day how they do it," Young said, referring to his parents who celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary in September. "Me and Iggy just bought a house. We've been getting really close lately. I've never been with somebody like this. So, I'm taking it as a challenge."
When it comes to marriage the athlete said the topic "come up a couple times," during his conversations with the "Fancy" rapper. The two reportedly met after Young admitted on social media that he had a cursh on Azalea.
In the interview, Young dishes on what his girlfriend is like when they are alone.
"From her songs, I thought she'd be all about going to clubs and partying, but it's the opposite of that," Young said. "She wakes up early every morning to take care of her dogs, and she cooks for me. From her rapping, I was very surprised that she could do all that. She's a really cool, down-to-earth person."
Young, who has a son with another woman, admits that he and Azalea do have their differences, like any couple.
"We fight over the TV remote because she watches TLC and the Weather Channel all night," he said. "We argue all the time, but we get it worked out. We understand each other."
