Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Spread Available Soon

This may give Nutella a run for its money.

Reese's peanut butter cup, which already comes in a variety of forms, is now available in a spread, USA Today reported on Friday.

The peanut butter chocolate spread joins Hershey's variety of spreadable sweets, including chocolate, chocolate with hazelnut and chocolate with almond.

The taste of the spread matches the individual peanut butter cups, with a slightly grainy texture, Huffington Post reported. The 13 oz. jar will be sold nationwide at grocery and convenience stores for $3.89.

But the Reese's cup-in-a-jar may not push Nutella into obscurity just yet, as the craze is still quite strong.

In 2013, it was reported that Columbia University students were costing the school money by taking the pricey hazelnut spread back to their rooms in to-go containers.

There are also whole Pinterest boards and Tumblr pages devoted to the Italian snack that was first imported to the United States 25 years ago. If that's not enough to prove Nutella's staying power, there is even a "Nutella Love Song" on YouTube, CNN reported.
