'Mass Effect 4' Releases 7 Concept Images In Honor Of N7 Day, But No Release Date Update

BioWare has finally given “Mass Effect” fans a look at what’s to come in the fourth franchise title.

The gaming studio celebrated their annual N7 day by holding a live stream panel on Twitch and with it came the release of seven new concept art images.

"Exploration is really about feeling that your seeing something that's unique that is very special to you. But there's always this little sense of danger because your the first one there or you know there's a reason why it feels like exploration,” BioWare told fans during their Twitch live stream (via IGN).

"We're not forcing the player into one type of experience. We're not forcing the player into the Mako, we're not forcing the player to evoke into a driving game. This is a game about choice and we want to just have the Mako as just one ingredient of that."

Bioware has also introduced some of the development leads for “Mass Effect 4” on their official blog. Chris Schlerf, the lead writer for the next ME title, dished details about the game’s development.

“Every day is a revelation and every day I get to play in a new corner of the universe,” Schlerf said. “To be able to look three steps ahead to, ‘Where does this take us and how does it add to the way we look at the Mass Effect trilogy?’ You couldn’t ask for a better playground.”

“As a writer, I write for characters,” he continued. “To me, it’s always about what makes my characters tick and what stories I can tell through those characters that will actually engage people about their own lives. It provides a mirror to that player’s experience [so that they are] not just sitting back in an armchair.”
