Macaulay Culkin Dead? Actor Laughs Off Death Hoax with ‘Weekend at Bernie’s’ Pics

Another week, another celebrity death hoax. Former child star Macaulay Culkin has joined the growing list of celebs targeted by mean death rumors. On Saturday, a story spread across social media that the 34-year-old actor had died. It's not clear where the hoax originated, but Culkin is NOT dead.

In fact, the "Home Alone" star is with his bandmates on tour. Instead of getting upset over the rumor, Culkin decided to poke fun at the death hoax and uploaded a photo to his Instagram account paying tribute to the 1989 cult classic "Weekend at Bernie's."

In the film, Andrew McCarthy and Jonathan Silverman play two insurance workers who discover that their boss, Bernie, has died, but walk around with the body like a puppet trying to convince people that everything's okay.

Mimicking the movie, Culkin posted a photo of himself playing dead in his bandmates arms.

"Weekend at bernies with @anchovywarhol #greenroom," he captioned the photo.

The actor and musician then posted another picture and wrote, "We're on tour you silly people."

And just in case fans were still doubting that Culkin was alive and well, he posted yet another photo of himself on stage with his bandmates.

"Performing last night at the Belmont, Bernie style @funfunfunfest #imalive," he captioned the image.

Culkin was the victim of a death hoax back in April, according to E! Online. His band, The Pizza Underground, began their tour in Brooklyn, New York on Oct. 17, and is expected to wrap up in December.
