Unfortunately, there still hasn't been a shot of star Paul Rudd in his "Ant-Man" suit...but before that official reveal happens, we may have gotten a more unofficial reveal at the film's villain, Yellowjacket.
At the San Diego Comic-Con, Kevin Feige confirmed that thespian Corey Stoll ("House of Cards" and "The Strain") would be playing Yellowjacket/Darren Cross. Courtesy of a somewhat random tweet from an Italian site MoviesBook.it, we may have the first look at the Yellowjacket's suit. See below:
As for the suit itself, it looks decent enough, but it's tough to definitively say because of the low-quality of the image itself. To be honest, I like the design of this Yellowjacket suit better than what I've seen out of the Ant-Man suit so far (and all I've really seen from the post-Edgar Wright era is this bit of production art).
In the comics, Yellowjacket was actually one of the many suits/alter-egos donned by Dr. Hank Pym (it was rumored that in one of the earlier script drafts Pym was the eventual villain of the film), but in this film the suit will be worn by Cross. Like Ant-Man, Yellowjacket can shrink down to insect size. He is also able to fly using the suit's wings (not unlike Falcon), and his main weapon is a "Bio-Sting" gun... though I'd bet that will somehow change in this movie. Thanks to our pals at Nerd Reactor for the heads up.
"Ant-Man" opens in theaters on July 17, 2015.
