Dean McDermott is calling it quits.
The 47-year-old "Chopped Canada" host has reportedly had enough of the cameras following him around for the Lifetime reality series, "True Tori," also starring his wife Tori Spelling.
McDermott told Access Hollywood's Billy Bush and Kit Hoover on Wednesday that he's "not going to continue with the show." The father of four explained that he is no longer wiling to share his private life with viewer.
"We have five more shows left, I'm going to fulfill my commitment," he said. "It got around the vasectomy conversation where I got to the point where ... I can't do this anymore. I can't keep opening a vein, and opening my soul and sharing my feelings and thoughts and demons with the world. I want my privacy back."
The couple began film their reality series shorty after McDermott's one-night affair with a woman named Emily Goodhand.
On the show, Spelling and McDermott work through their marital problems, including infidelity and addiction. The show documents the couple's personal conversation and visits to a marriage counselor.
McDermott also revealed that in his darkest moment, he contemplated committing suicide, during his rocky marriage with his wife of seven years. The TV host admitted that his marriage problems led him to depression and substance abuse.
"I was driving around in my truck with a loaded 9 mm," he revealed. "I was put on a 5150 at the UCLA psych ward. [My son] Liam had a performance and I didn't want to miss that performance ... I had plans that night to do it."
Adding, "The fact that I cheated on my wife, I wish never happened, I wish my alcohol and drug use hadn't gotten out of control. I still love her to death and that's why we're still together."
Despite the reports of separation and divorce, McDermott said he still has hope that his marriage will survive regardless of his actions.
