A man was beaten up and robbed of his pizza before posting pictures of his injuries on Facebook in an effort to catch his attackers, the Daily Record reported on Friday.
Mark Sinclair suffered a dozen kicks to the throat and face as he walked home with the pizza. He wanted to use his bloody and bruised photos as a way to ask any possible witnesses to come forward. It has been shared over 2,200 times on social media, the New York Post reported.
"I thought I'd put it up to generate some interest because the police have very little to go on," Sinclair said.
The 29-year-old was getting a beer with a friend before he decided to grab a spicy chicken pizza for when he got home. He was jumped at 11:10 p.m. just blocks from his residence.
"He said, 'Gimme a bit of your pizza', then started laying into me," Sinclair said. "As far as I'm aware it was only one guy but I got a bit groggy, so there could have been someone else."
He can't remove his contact lens after the attack and has nerve damage behind his eye as well as serious bruising. Sinclair also suffered torn ligaments in his knee.
Though Sinclair said he thinks he was only attacked by one person, police are looking for two. One is said to be 5ft 10in, between the ages of 21 and 40.
